If Christ Has Not Risen….

The Bible says: “and if Christ be not risen, then our preaching is vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up, if so it be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is Christ not raised; and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” (1 Corinthians 15:14-19)

According to the Scriptures, If Christ has not risen, then we have 5 BIG problems with life:

1. Life is FUTILE
Vs 14 -And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
In other words, if Christ has not risen, then our preaching amounts to nothing and your faith is devoid of truth, fruitless, without effect, empty, imaginary, and unfounded

2. Life is FALSE
Vs 15 and 16 – Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ:
whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
In other words, if Christ has not risen, we are even discovered to be misrepresenting God, for we testified of Him that He raised Christ, Whom He did not raise in case it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised;

3. Life is FRUITLESS
Vs 17 -And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins..
In other words, if Christ has not risen, our faith is mere delusion, futile, fruitless, and we are still under the control and penalty of sin;

4. Life is FINAL
Vs 18 – Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
In other words, if Christ has not risen, those who have died in spiritual fellowship and union with Christ have perished and are lost forever!

Vs 19 – If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

In other words, if Christ has not risen, for those of us who are abiding in Christ have hope only in this life and that is all, then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied.

But God DID raise Him from the dead: (Acts 13:30), liberating Him from the pangs of death, seeing that it was not possible for Him to continue to be controlled or retained by it (Acts 2:24). And Jesus IS the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). And the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead DWELLS in us (Rom 8:11a).

Therefore there is no need whatsoever, for anyone, to endure for a single moment, a life that is futile, false, fruitless, final and full of misery existence. Instead, Like Apostle Paul, you too can experience first hand the power of His resurrection and fully enjoy his life that is abundant, everlasting and eternal.
Unlike Apostle Paul, your encounter with the resurrected Christ doesn’t need to be on the road to Damascus. It can take place right where you are. To do this, the Bible says that you simply need to:

Acknowledge that you are a sinner; (Psalm 32:5)
Believe that Jesus Christ died in your stead and rose from the dead; (1Thessalonians 4:14)

Call upon His name to save you in time for eternity. (Romans 10:13)

“Now the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21)
